        St. Christopher’s name means ‘Christ-bearer.’ He was believed to have lived in the third century during the reign of Decius. The Saint Christopher medal is one of the most popular saint medals worn; he is revered by athletes, mariners, ferrymen, travelers and as one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers. He holds patronage of all things related to travel with protection from accidents, lightning, pestilence, floods, storms.

His feast day is celebrated July 25.
