Child of the Corn?
My birthplace was a small town in Indiana in the middle of corn country; moved to Minnesota in 1965 to the shores of Lake Osakis…this is my home town.
Currently however, my residence is in a small rural community in Southwest Minn., in the middle of corn fields yet again. Have come full circle. Just realized, when tired some have said my corniness pops out.
Personally, the Lake Osakis phase of my life is my favorite, but corn must be in my blood, seems to be my destiny to live in it!
My Gorgeous Family
Am single and love it! Blessed with one son who married the greatest gal a mother-n-law could ask for. Together they have produced two gorgeous grand children who grace my life. No really, they are gorgeous and am not just saying that!
At the end of September 2012 we will welcome a third gorgeous grandchild to our growing family. And how, you may be asking, do we know the new grand is gorgeous? Why, the ultra sound picture…it’s absolutely gorgeous proof!

Work, Family, Friends and More!My time is juggled between work, representing both Avon and Eclipse Candle Company, spending time with my grand’s (that takes up quite a bit) and caring for my aging mother. Also, plan community vendor events; plus, stay connected with my friends with week end visits. Visit ‘home’ as often as possible for some much needed down time. It’s a must with my schedule.
Boomer Style ~ a New Career
In recent years, have re-connected with my best friend from high school, Dawn Bonner (editor-in-chief of Boomer Style …magazine), spending some of those long weekends with her when she makes it home for a visit, too. Bonner offered me the opportunity to write articles for the magazine; agreed to try my hand at it. This was a brand new venue for me, but have found a new love. Contribute as beauty editor to Body Beautiful, Health, Travel, Of Food and Wine, and Book Reviews; who knows what department my articles will show up in next—and where my next new discovery will be. Life is a grand adventure and am thrilled to be sharing some of it with you.
