Last Monday (June 2008), the greatest golf tournament every played ended. This was the best of show for the week.  Hooray for Rocco Mediate, he left it all out there, so did Tiger Woods.  Just having come off knee surgery, he played a provocative game.  One that will go down in the annals of great golf weeks. Mediate played such of a great game, all with keeping a wonderful sense of humor and fun, that it took Woods and extra 19 holes of golf to take the silver trophy.

Woods is the number one ranked golfer of the decade and Mediate is ranked number 154.  The odds were with hometown favorite Phil Mikkelson to take the trophy.

Tiger Woods won the U.S. open, but it took him 19 extra holes to take the win away from stellar competitor, Rocco Mediate
