Building a Bird House
It’s summer time, hear the birds sing, aren’t they lovely. A great summer project is building bird houses for your favorite friends. Grab your children or grandchildren and make it a fun, family project.
It’s winter time, it is colder than bear snot–restless, bored and ready to do something interesting. But, what to do? Get ready for some new spring time activities by building some very cool bird houses.
Below are plans to build a bird house out of a gord, a mid-century bird house, nesting houses, a bluebird habitat, and Bob Olson’s series on building unique bird houses. Grab the wife, the kids, the dog, or spend some creative quiet time with yourself.
We’d love to see photographs of your bird houses. We will publish them in Bird Lover’s. Email you bird house pictures here ( LivingLifeBoomerStyle@gmail.com ). Can’t wait to see your feathered friends guest house.

This easy to make bird box can be built in one day out of one 6 foot long 1″ by 6″ plank of cedar. Attract more wild birds into your garden (or provide for those already there).
