Abby Travis, a unique and supremely gifted artist in music today, is set to release her newest album Abby Travis IV. Her plans are to release the album as a series of digital downloads via iTunes and other related sites for the interim.

Pending successful revenue from the sale of these downloads, Travis hopes to release the album as a hard copy CD sometime in 2011. As an independent artist, Travis has been producing the album herself, with the help of fans who have invested funding in the project, so the sale of the digital songs is crucial to ensure this hard copy release is possible.

Travis Explains Her Project and Future Plans

“Rocky Shenck has shot some lovely new pics, I’ve sent the songs to the mastering engineer, and put in a call to my favorite graphics guy so hopefully this will all start in September. Next year I hope to release the whole album as a CD, provided I generate enough income from digital sales to pay for manufacturing, artwork etc. There will be bonus stuff too. Anyways, thank-you for your patience and please support the music when it becomes available,” requests Travis.

Travis has already delighted fans with her three previous albums to date, The Abby Travis Foundation, Cut-Throat Standards and Black Pop, and Glitter Mouth.

It is up to us to spread the word and purchase these new downloads, so that others unable to access digital media can look forward to a physical album release. We eagerly look forward to more of the resonant and soulful music of an artist who looks like she stepped from the pages of a 1940s glamour magazine to save our world from the mindless pre-manufactured music that has infiltrated the music scene for too long.
