About Us
Cozette Cravens
Cozette Cravens is just your ordinary California girl, born and raised in San Diego, California. Who also lived in Santa Monica, then West Hills and made her way up to Northern California. One could say she is a multi-faceted gem or a new Renaissance woman.
She enjoyed performing with an International Folk Dance group, and had three handsome and wonderful dance partners (Karl, Lee & Louis).
When she to the Los Angeles area she couldn’t get dancing, acting or costume making out of her blood. Her first jobs after high school were at Technicolor and MGM Studios. Throughout the years, she met and at times worked with celebrities and has the highest regards for the people she worked with. Singing and acting are still in her blood, however dancing is taking a back seat for now.
Santa’s Better Half
She had a Day Care Center in her L.A. home and watched many young children grow. She had a mini school in her home and put on holiday shows for the parents. Then, she got the idea of playing Mrs. Claus at holiday time and never stopped. Every year she dons the Mrs. Claus costume and is Mrs. Claus for hire. She says it does her heart good when she sees the joy of the little children and loves answering their questions
An All Around Artist
She later owned a ceramic studio and was a traveling teacher. She loved every minute of it. She is a free lance designer. She designs costumes; one of a kind clothing, cakes and confections, embroidery, silversmith, leather work, Native Indian art, porcelain dolls, home décor, sculpture, and restoration of china and antique clothing. She has written two books about embroidery and appliqué and taught sewing classes to children and adults. She also enjoys planning special events and being a docent at the Historic Governors’ Mansion. She is a freelance photographer, too. Someday she would like to have a very special museum.
Education
She recently graduated from UC Davis with a BA in Art History, and a minor in Art studio. She is always taking new design classes to learn new skills or to brush up on old ones. A person can always learn something new. She enjoys meeting people and making new friends
